Summerfield Suites offers 146 suites in a five-story, Mediterranean-style building colored sand with teal trim. All suites include a VCR, high-speed Internet access (fee charged), data ports, and contemporary decor. Each bedroom includes a clock radio/CD player and three-drawer dresser. Two-bedroom suites feature a telephone in each bedroom with a separate line and separate long-distance billing. (Local calls are complimentary.) A two-line kitchen telephone connects to both bedroom telephones. Two-bedroom Trio suite - Units measure 758 square feet and include three beds: one queen bed in master bedroom, and two double beds in second bedroom. In the living/dining room is a double sofa bed along with an upholstered chair/ottoman and four-chair dining set. Television in each room. Kitchen with four-burner range, microwave oven, ice-maker refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker, cookware, dishes, and utensils. One-stool breakfast bar. What to expect: Compact, warm, and friendly, Summerfield Suites resembles a boutique hotel. The property is located in a leafy neighborhood within 2- to 15-minute walking distances of numerous shopping, dining, and entertainment attractions. The Mercado, a shopping and dining village, is across the street. Amenity highlights: A central courtyard contains a good-sized pool surrounded by a small sundeck, with more sundeck space available outside the hotel's second floor. A second, small courtyard off the main one provides a children's pool shaded by a large tree and a six-person spa. Guests can avoid shopping chores by placing a $25 minimum order with a complimentary service that delivers groceries to guest suites. Insider tip: Outside the hotel is the I-Ride Trolley, a low-cost transport running between 7 AM and midnight through the International Drive corridor and stopping at its many shopping, dining, and entertainment attractions. The 6-mile trolley also links to a public bus that connects directly to Disney World's transportation center, from which visitors can travel on Disney buses to all the 42-square-mile resort's attractions. Children under 12 ride the trolley for free.
